N 1983 I printed one hundred copies of a book entitled Buffaloed.
It contained five woodcut images, and a poem which I wrote and printed
from letters cut out of wood. Several copies were sewn into paper covers
and went out into the world. Reaction was mixed, but one disparaging comment
and the remaining unbound sheets were shelved. There they stayed for 18
years. I recently sold a complete set of Midnight Paper Sales to a book
dealer, and included was a copy of Buffaloed. He was delighted
with it, and suggested I bind the remaining sixty copies and offer them
for sale. I have done so.
